Ukrainians through to the last four after comfortable 3-0 win

Dynamo Kiev booked their place in the semi-finals of the Uefa Cup thanks to a comfortable 3-0 home win over PSG. After a goalless first leg in Paris, Kiev made sure that they stamped their authority on the game early on and they duly took the lead after just four minutes. Striker Ismael Bangoura picked up the ball 25-yards out and drilled in a shot that found the bottom right hand corner of Mickael Landreau's net. If the visitors faced an uphill task from then on in they were confronted with a mountain to climb when Landreau punched the ball into his own net. The hosts whipped in a free-kick from the right that the French stopper came to claim but he could only watch in disbelief after the ball bounced off the back of his fist and into the unguarded net on 15 minutes. PSG tried to muster some hope at the start of the second-half but their persistence failed to turn into clear cut chances and Kiev added a third just after the hour. Again Landreau was at fault as he parried a long-range free-kick into the path of the grateful Ognjen Vukojevic who simply tapped home.
