Hofs returns to Vitesse

Vitesse Arnhem have signed midfielder Nick Hofs on a season-long loan from Feyenoord.

And Feyenoord cancel Saidi contract

Vitesse Arnhem have signed midfielder Nick Hofs on a season-long loan from Feyenoord. The 25-year-old has moved to the Gelredome in a bid to secure first-team football after falling out of favour at Feyenoord. And Hofs, who began his career at Vitesse before joining Feyenoord in 2004, is looking forward to returning to his first club. "I want to be at Vitesse and for me this is a beautiful opportunity to play some games," Hofs told the club's official website. And Vitesse technical director Marc van Hintum is delighted to have secured Hofs following lengthy discussions. "We are glad that he comes to Arnhem," Van Hintum added. "He is a complete player with a real drive. "It is important for him that he comes to play games. It took long negotiations, but we are happy." Meanwhile, Feyenoord have terminated the contract of Tunisian defender Karim Saidi.
