Sandell's Wycombe spell over

Defender Andy Sandell has left Wycombe after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

Sandell, who has been on loan at Blue Square Bet Premier club Forest Green Rovers, joined Wycombe on a two-year deal in June 2010 after his contract at Aldershot expired. The 28-year-old was a regular at left-back during the 2010-2011 season, making 37 first-team appearances and scoring seven goals to help Gary Waddock's side clinch promotion from League Two. He also played in the opening 11 games this season before suffering a shoulder injury during the 2-1 defeat at Rochdale on October 1. That was to be his last appearance for the club. Sandell signed for Forest Green Rovers on a three-month loan deal nine days later. He has made just three appearances for the Gloucestershire outfit. His place at Adams Park was taken by Grant Basey, who joined on an initial one-month loan from Championship side Peterborough. That deal was extended last week to the end of December 2011. A statement released by Wycombe said: "The club would like to thank Andy for his efforts during his time at Adams Park and wish him every success for the future."
