Former England Under-17 intertional looks for a new challenge

Sky Sports understands Liverpool reserve striker Nathan Eccleston will be allowed to leave the club on a free transfer. The 21-year-old's contract was due to expire next summer but his desire for first-team football will now see him explore other opportunities. Eccleston forged a reputation as a goalscorer of some note within Anfield due to his exploits with the youth and reserve teams. However, his chances to make an imprint on the first-team were limited due to the multi-million signings occupying his position. The former England Under-17 was loaned to Charlton and Rochdale last year, where he showed glimpses of his striking talents. Liverpool still retain some belief in his ability and will allow him to leave Anfield for free, on the proviso a sell on clause is inserted into his contract with his new employers.
