Loic Remy put Marseille ahead after just 12 minutes, and they then doubled their lead on the hour through Jordan Ayew.
Argentine stopper Gabriel Heinze claimed the third with just ten minutes remaining.
Marseille have also all but secured second place after third place
Lyon suffered a hefty 4-0 defeat at
Auxerre.
Dennis Oliech opened the scoring after 20 minutes for Jean Fernandez' side and things went from bad to worse for Lyon with Dejan Lovren being red-carded.
Auxerre surged into a 3-0 lead with Alain Traore scoring either side of the interval before Cedric Hengbart sealed the win with ten minutes remaining.
Lens' slim hopes of survival were boosted as they claimed a 1-0 win over
Bordeaux with the winner coming through Adil Hermach with just three minutes left.
