Keogh, Ebanks-Blake and Kightly strike in 3-0 win

Wolves moved to within two points of a place in the top six with a 3-0 victory over FA Cup finalists Cardiff at Molineux. Cardiff boss Dave Jones did not take his place in the dugout as he was feeling under the weather and his side struggled to contain Wolves throughout. Andy Keogh broke the deadlock in only the eighth minute with a powerful header into the top corner after Michael Kightly's angled ball was nodded across the six-yard line by Kevin Foley. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was denied an equaliser by an excellent Wayne Hennessey save and Wolves then doubled their advantage a minute before half-time when Sylvan Ebanks-Blake fired home from Keogh's assist. Cardiff's hopes of finishing in the play-offs were effectively ended when they lost to Scunthorpe at the weekend and they did not threaten a comeback after the break. Kightly, restored to the starting line-up for the first time since November, made sure of the points as he added a third in the 56th minute after Peter Enckelman had parried Ebanks-Blake's effort. Wolves cruised through to the final whistle to climb to seventh with just two games of the season - against Coventry and Plymouth - to come.
